Winter Wildlife Tracking Walk

It was a blue bird day for our tracking walk with Tracker Paul Wanta and a great group of ACT members and friends at Nashoba Brook. The snow was perfect and captured and preserved the tracks of so many animals, beginning at the parking lot! Paul has so many interesting stories about tracking adventures and other people he has tracked with over the years.

What happened here? That’s the question Paul tries to answer as he follows an animal’s tracks. Here are a few tracks we saw in snow as we walked along Nashoba Brook.

Red Fox
Vole
Cottontail Rabbit
A variety of otter tracks
Otter walking along a log
Possibly weasel, going through a hole in the stone wall
