Our Fall Community Service Day was held on October 23, 2022 at Spring Hill Conservation Land. 28 people volunteered, including 20 students from ABRHS fulfilling service hours for National Honor Society and AP Environmental Science. The yellow loop trail at Spring Hill had a perennially wet section which we re-routed to follow an old cart path and another existing trail. The cart path in particular needed to be widened, with small trees and brush removed or trimmed back. Now the new trail section can be re-blazed with yellow markers, and trail users won’t end up with wet feet after rainy weather. As a test, the rain began that evening, once our volunteers were safely home and still dry. No rain gear was required!
