Grassy Pond West

10.9 Acres along Grassy Pond and Newtown Road

Purchased with a combination of Community Preservation Funds and donations from private citizens. This spectacular property comprises nearly 25% of the shoreline of Grassy Pond, one of Acton’s gems and preserves the last remaining undeveloped property on the pond. To walk the boardwalks and trails in the area and then emerge onto the pond is an inspiring experience any time of year. In addition, this acquisition creates a wildlife corridor and a trail for passive recreation from the Bulette Land near Route 2 to the Nagog Hill Conservation Land. The preserved land includes the white pine stand at the left of the photo and runs all the way to the vantage point of the photo.
