The Acton Conservation Trust (ACT) is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to
the protection and preservation of Acton's open space through land acquisitions,
conservation restrictions, and public policy changes. We provide education to landowners
and the public about options for preservation. ACT is one of more than 130 such land
trusts in Massachusetts. To join us: contact Susan Mitchell-Hardt at info@actonconservationtrust.org
Our Goals and Strategies
- Identify open space parcels under threat of development and seek ways to minimize
development.
- Create a constituency of like-minded citizens to support land preservation in Acton.
- Work
with town government, business and landowners to encourage public policies which provide
for the conservation of open space.
